Paul Pratchenko
Paul Pratchenko is a California-based painter and longtime art educator known for his richly imaginative, surreal and figurative work that blends narrative, landscape, and fantastical imagery. Active for decades in the Bay Area art scene, he has exhibited widely in solo and group shows at venues including Braunstein/Quay Gallery in San Francisco, b. sakata garo in Sacramento, the Triton Museum of Art, and the di Rosa Preserve, among others, and his paintings and drawings reflect a personal, often enigmatic approach to form and composition. Pratchenko also taught for many years at San Francisco State University, influencing generations of students with his distinctive visual sensibility.
