Frances McCormack

Frances McCormack is a Sonoma-based abstract painter whose richly layered works use color, organic and garden-inspired forms to explore growth, energy, and inner experience. She holds an MFA from the University of California, Berkeley, has exhibited widely since the 1980s, and served as a long-time professor and Professor Emerita at the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work has been featured in over 100 exhibitions and continues to be celebrated in surveys such as Rooted in Wonder at di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art.
