Dennis Ziemienski
Dennis Ziemienski is an American painter, illustrator, and designer whose richly colored, narrative works blend nostalgia for early 20th-century life with the influence of classic poster art and Western imagery. A graduate cum laude of the California College of Arts and Crafts, he began his career as a successful commercial illustrator in New York before returning to California to focus on fine art that captures the landscapes, roadside culture, and transitional moments of the American West and Southwest. His paintings are included in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Booth Western Art Museum, Tucson Museum of Art, Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, and the Whitney Western Art Museum, and he has received numerous awards and commissions throughout his career.
