This agreement states the terms under which the Lender named below will loan artwork(s) for the exhibition Craft in the Valley to the Sonoma Community Center, curated by Simon Blattner and Barbara Wells

Exhibition Loan Dates: January 2 – February 20

(Loan dates are longer than exhibition dates due to installation and deinstallation of exhibition)

Loan Terms:

  • Attributions, dates, valuations, or prices, and other information shown in this form are as given by the Lender unless otherwise specified.

  • It is understood that the artwork described herein may be photographed, telecast, displayed on the Exhibitor’s web site, and used for publicity, catalog/publication purposes, and/or educational uses connected with this exhibition. Images of objects, including merchandise or similar goods employing such images, shall not be held out of sale by Exhibitor absent the prior review and written approval of Lender, in its sole and absolute discretion.

  • Exhibitor will insure object(s) on loan against risk of physical loss or damage for the value stated on the face of this Loan Agreement from the time it arrives and leaves the exhibition space, so long as it does not exceed fair market value.

  • The Exhibitor will procure insurance coverage for the objects with standard policy limits consistent with the foregoing coverage with respect to artwork.

  • The Exhibitor is responsible for the care and condition of the exhibition for the duration of the loan, and for the safe return of the artwork to the Lender. All other terms of exhibiting the artwork will be covered in the loan agreement for the exhibition.

  • The Exhibitor will complete and archive incoming and outgoing condition reports for artwork.

  • The Exhibitor will document all third parties’ intellectual property and approval rights.

  • The Exhibitor shall return the loaned artworks packed in the same or similar materials in which it was received unless otherwise authorized by the Lender.

  • The Exhibitor will give the artworks in its custody in the same care and preservation provided to similar property of its own.

  • The Exhibitor will collate and publish label information for each object.

  • The Exhibitor will authorize the videotaping and filming of the public programs (associated fees will not be the responsibility of the Exhibitor).

  • Installation photographs of the exhibition will be shared with Lender, upon request

  • All press and/or reviews will be shared with Lender, upon request.

  • The Exhibitor will publicize the exhibition with an official press release and announcement card, ad placement in various print and online publications, and with email marketing. The Exhibitor assumes responsibility for all related costs.
